Seyda Molla Mehdinin oğlu Mehmet amca babam Mele Abdulgani ile yaşadığı güzel bir şahitliğini anlatıyor:
Seyda Mele Abdulgani esnaftı. Bizim burada fakirler ve dilencilerin adetidir. Kapı kapı dükkan dükkan gezip birşeyler toplarlar.
Mele Abdulgani çok cömertti. O kadar ki fakirler ile onun arasında bir hukuk vardı. Onu tanır özellikle ona gelirlerdi.
Birgün dükkanda yanında oturuyordum. Saydım tam 7-8 fakir geldi,Mele Abdulgani hiçbirini eli boş göndermedi. Hepsine kalkıyor ve ikramda bulunuyordu.
(Biz bir iki fakire verdikten sonra üçüncüsü gelse az önce verdim git demiyor muyuz?)O çok cömertti Allah’ta ona vergilerinde çok cömert davrandı..
